Assignment Description
The IT Security Architect will deliver architecture products that establish a strong foundation for the municipality’s information systems. The assignment involves developing target architectures, preparing project start architectures, and formulating frameworks for a secure, integrated IT landscape.
A key focus is the structural integration of information security into architectural principles and designs, with explicit attention to the NIS2 directive (“new cybersecurity law”) and BIO requirements.
The architect will work independently while coordinating with Product Owners, AI/IT advisors, security officers, and project managers to ensure a secure, scalable, and future-proof digital infrastructure.
Responsibilities
•Design and document, an integrated IT architecture with a focus on security, scalability, and maintainability.
•Embed security-by-design principles into architectural decisions, roadmaps, and project initiatives.
•Advice on cloud solutions, Identity & Access Management (IAM), sourcing strategies, application landscapes, networks, and data integrations.
•Develop guidelines and reference architectures to standardize security practices.
•Collaborate with Agile teams and align architecture decisions across multiple IT domains.
•Establish a sustainable architecture function within the organization, including reusable methods for long-term adoption.
Requirements
•At least 5 years of experience as an IT Security Architect in the past 8 years.
•Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in IT, Technical Business Administration, or Security Management.
•Proven experience in designing and implementing IT security architectures.
•Availability for 36 hours per week starting ASAP 2025.
•Ability to provide own device (laptop/tablet and mobile phone).
•For intermediaries: Correct KvK registration, WAADI compliance, and SNA certification (or equivalent).
