About the Role
You will join a national mission-critical organization’s Agile Firewall Team within the networking domain. In this role, you will manage and improve a large-scale network security environment under a centrally defined architecture and standard product portfolio.
What You’ll Do
- Operate, configure, and maintain Check Point firewalls (R80.x)
- Execute changes in security components and design connectivity for them
- Troubleshoot incidents (2nd-line), contribute to analysis and investigations
- Install firewall components (remote/on-site) and guide field implementations
- Keep CMDB, IP administration, work instructions, diagrams, and connections up to date
- Maintain procedures, tooling, and compliance controls
- Create scripts to drive Network Automation, support capacity & change management
- Participate in (implementation) projects and coordinate with vendors
- Join on-call/pager rotation and perform changes outside office hours as needed
Must-Have Requirements
- ≥3 years (within last 5) hands-on with Check Point R80.x
- Proven expertise configuring & administering Check Point R80.x firewalls
- Multiple VSX / Maestro upgrades and replacements executed independently
- Experience implementing ICT solutions (e.g., upgrades, releases, maintenance)
- Practical experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
Nice to Have
- Juniper experience
- Monitoring tooling such as NNMi, Zabbix, Nagios
- Infoblox experience
- Check Point certifications: CCSA, CCSE, CCME, CCMS, CCVS, CCTA, CCSM(-E)
- Senior-level Check Point exposure (CCVS and/or CCSM(-E))
