Business Continuity Manager (BCM Kwartiermaker)
Over de opdracht
A leading organisation in the public sector is strengthening its resilience against geopolitical and cyber threats. You act as BCM architect and connector, bridging IT operations, physical security, and core business processes to embed continuity across all departments.
Your mission: deliver disaster recovery plans for critical scenarios, update the BCMS (Business Continuity Management System), conduct organisation-wide risk assessments, and align all three resilience pillars—IT infrastructure, facility security, and operational continuity.
Jouw werkzaamheden
- Execute and update Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) across the organisation
- Conduct organisation-wide BCM risk assessments to prioritise recovery investments
- Design and deliver disaster recovery plans for critical risk scenarios
- Update and enhance the existing BCMS, integrating it with the ISMS (Information Security Management System)
- Develop and maintain crisis response playbooks, crisis contact lists, and BCM handbooks
- Advise departments on continuity controls and support implementation of recovery measures
- Facilitate cross-disciplinary alignment between IT, facilities, and business units on continuity strategy

Must-haves
- Proven BCMS expertise and experience implementing Business Continuity Management Systems
- Knowledge of ISO 27031, ISO 22301, and ISO 27001 frameworks
- Understanding of GDPR, BIO 2.0, and information security compliance in government
- Experience managing complex security and continuity initiatives across multiple departments
- Fluent Dutch and strong stakeholder communication skills
Nice-to-haves
- Background in government or public sector security operations
- Experience integrating BCMS with ISMS and other management systems
- Familiarity with crisis management and incident response coordination
