DPIA Specialist
Over de opdracht
A leading organisation in financial services is strengthening its privacy function. You assess new data processing initiatives, identify risks under GDPR Article 35, and recommend mitigation strategies before deployment.
You work closely with product teams, data engineers, and compliance officers. Your DPIAs influence system architecture decisions and shape the organisation's privacy-by-design culture.
Jouw werkzaamheden
- Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments for new and modified processing activities
- Identify privacy risks using GDPR Article 35 methodology and standard risk matrices
- Recommend technical and organisational safeguards to reduce privacy exposure
- Document assessment findings in clear, non-technical language for stakeholder sign-off
- Advise development teams on privacy-by-design principles during system design phases
- Monitor regulatory guidance updates and adapt assessment criteria accordingly
- Maintain DPIA templates and maintain assessment documentation library

Must-haves
- 3+ years conducting DPIAs or privacy impact assessments
- Deep knowledge of GDPR Article 35 and risk assessment methodologies
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, compliance)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to translate legal requirements into technical controls
Nice-to-haves
- Hands-on experience with OneTrust, TrustArc, or similar DPIA platforms
- Background in ISO 27001 or ISO 29134 implementations
- Certification in privacy (CIPP/E, CIPM) or risk management
