Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)
About the assignment
A leading organisation seeks an experienced CISO to drive enterprise-wide security transformation. You'll own the security strategy, manage board-level reporting, and align cyber initiatives with business objectives.
You'll navigate complex threat landscapes, build high-performing security teams, and champion a culture of security awareness across the organisation. This is a strategic role where you influence C-suite decisions and shape long-term security posture.
Your responsibilities
- Define and execute multi-year security strategy aligned with business priorities
- Report to the board and executive leadership on cyber risk, incidents, and compliance status
- Build and mentor a security team; recruit, develop, and retain top talent
- Oversee vendor management, third-party risk assessment, and security controls
- Establish security governance frameworks, policies, and standards
- Lead incident response and business continuity planning
- Manage security budget and ROI on security investments
- Drive security awareness and cultural change across the organisation

Must-haves
- 10+ years cybersecurity experience with at least 5 years in leadership/management
- Proven track record managing security budgets and vendor relationships
- Board-level communication and C-suite collaboration experience
- Deep knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT)
- Strong understanding of incident response, GRC, and business continuity
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, government)
- Familiarity with security tooling: Splunk, Sentinel, CrowdStrike, SailPoint
- CISSP or CISM certification
