About the assignment
A leading energy network organisation in the Netherlands is transforming its IT foundation to support the energy transition towards 2050. As part of the Fit4Future programme, the IAM initiative is establishing a new, future-proof identity and access management architecture.
You lead the CIAM stream, responsible for designing and implementing a scalable Customer Identity & Access Management solution for both B2B and B2C use cases. You bridge business requirements, technical architecture, and strategic IT direction while coordinating teams and managing stakeholder expectations across a broad ecosystem of IT, security, business units, and external partners.
Your responsibilities
- Lead the CIAM implementation trajectory, coordinating activities, monitoring progress, and directing involved teams
- Develop functional and technical architecture blueprints for the CIAM landscape together with the CIAM architect
- Translate business requirements into concrete, feasible IT solutions that balance user needs with technical constraints
- Advise leadership, steering committees, and stakeholders on architecture decisions, risks, and solution directions
- Ensure CIAM solutions align consistently with the broader IAM and IT architecture across the organisation
- Manage scope, deliverables, deadlines, and quality standards for the CIAM programme
- Collaborate across Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and work streams to integrate CIAM within the larger Fit4Future portfolio

Must-haves
- 5+ years experience leading similar CIAM or IAM implementation programmes
- Proven track record designing and implementing CIAM solutions (B2B and B2C)
- Demonstrated experience steering teams of specialists across technical and business domains
- Strong understanding of identity architecture, access control patterns, and lifecycle management
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across executive, technical, and business levels
- Fluency in Dutch and English (programme involves Dutch stakeholders)
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with SailPoint, Okta, or ForgeRock implementations
- Familiarity with energy sector or critical infrastructure digitalisation
- Experience in large-scale enterprise transformation programmes
- Knowledge of GDPR, ePrivacy, and regulatory impacts on identity design
