Information Security Officer
About the assignment
You develop and maintain the organisation's security posture across all business units. You identify risks, design control frameworks, and ensure compliance with regulations like ISO 27001 and NIS2.
You bridge business and security, translating technical requirements into boardroom language. Your decisions directly protect critical assets and shape how the organisation responds to threats.
Your responsibilities
- Design and maintain information security policies, standards, and procedures
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies across the organisation
- Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, NIS2, and industry-specific regulations
- Manage security incidents and coordinate incident response procedures
- Monitor security posture and oversee security tool implementations
- Report to senior management and board on security metrics and KPIs
- Lead security awareness and training programmes for staff
- Collaborate with IT, legal, and business teams on security requirements

Must-haves
- 7+ years in information security or related governance roles
- Deep knowledge of ISO 27001 and major compliance frameworks
- Experience with security risk assessment and management

- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with GRC tools (ServiceNow, Archer, OneTrust)
- Background in incident response or security operations
- Familiarity with NIS2, DORA, or sector-specific regulations
