OT Security Expert
About the assignment
A leading organisation is building a cohesive OT cybersecurity team and needs an experienced Security Expert to strengthen operational technology resilience. You'll work within a group of eight Technical Security Experts focused exclusively on OT environments, part of the Corporate Cybersecurity division.
Your role bridges policy and practice. You analyse security risks using IEC 62443 standards, advise on complex cybersecurity decisions, and monitor compliance. You combine technical depth with organisational sensitivity and communication skills to keep teams safe and aware.
Your responsibilities
- Conduct risk assessments in OT environments using IEC 62443 framework and coordinate mitigation measures with stakeholders
- Advise teams on cybersecurity decisions and help embed Security by Design principles into workflows
- Monitor compliance with cybersecurity requirements and track effective implementation of agreed mitigations
- Translate security policy into practical, executable measures that teams can implement
- Maintain oversight of OT security posture and identify emerging risks or gaps
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance security needs with operational requirements

Must-haves
- Proven experience in OT/ICS cybersecurity assessments and risk management
- Deep knowledge of IEC 62443 standard and industrial control system security
- Ability to translate technical security concepts into business language for diverse audiences
- Strong stakeholder management and organisational awareness
- Demonstrated capacity to handle competing priorities and stress
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with NIST Cybersecurity Framework or equivalent governance models
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements in critical infrastructure sectors
- Track record of building effective security teams or driving cultural change
