Penetration Testing Coordinator
About the assignment
You own the full lifecycle of penetration testing engagements. You're the central hub ensuring seamless communication, clear scope definition, and timely delivery.
Your role bridges technical security teams and business stakeholders. You translate client needs into actionable test plans and keep everyone aligned on progress, findings, and next steps.
You ensure each engagement meets quality standards, stays on budget, and generates maximum value for clients and your team.
Your responsibilities
- Coordinate penetration test projects from kickoff to final reporting
- Manage scope, timeline, and deliverables across technical and client teams
- Serve as primary contact for clients—handle inquiries, expectations, and relationship management
- Develop test plans and schedules in alignment with OWASP and PTES methodologies
- Track resource allocation, budget, and project health metrics
- Consolidate findings, validate results, and prepare executive summaries
- Monitor post-engagement follow-up and remediation tracking

Must-haves
- 3+ years in penetration testing or security assessment coordination
- Strong understanding of penetration testing methodologies and tools
- Excellent project management and communication skills

- Proven track record managing client relationships and expectations
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with TIBER-EU or similar regulatory testing frameworks
- Familiarity with security assessment platforms and reporting tools
- Background in technical penetration testing or red team operations
