About the assignment
You manage a strategic programme that integrates AI security into core business operations. This role demands you balance innovation with security governance, ensuring responsible AI deployment while protecting organisational assets.
You act as the central connector between security teams, AI engineers, and business leadership. Your decisions shape how the organisation approaches AI risk, compliance, and secure implementation at scale.
Your responsibilities
- Define and execute the AI security programme roadmap aligned with organisational strategy
- Establish AI governance frameworks, risk assessments, and security controls
- Coordinate cross-functional teams: security, data science, compliance, and business units
- Monitor emerging AI threats and translate them into mitigation strategies
- Report programme progress and security posture to executive leadership
- Drive adoption of secure AI development practices and frameworks
- Manage vendor selection and third-party AI tool assessments

Must-haves
- 8+ years in cybersecurity, with 3+ in AI/ML security or governance roles
- Proven experience managing complex cross-functional security programmes
- Strong understanding of AI/ML risks, LLM vulnerabilities, and prompt injection attacks
- Experience with security governance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST) applied to AI
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
Nice-to-haves
- Background in data science or machine learning engineering
- Experience with responsible AI or AI ethics frameworks
- Knowledge of model adversarial testing and red-teaming for AI systems
