Senior Privileged Access Management Advisor
About the assignment
You advise a major organisation on privileged access governance across hybrid infrastructure. You design and optimize PAM solutions that balance security with operational efficiency, ensuring only authorised users access critical systems.
You tackle complex challenges: legacy system integration, just-in-time access workflows, audit compliance under NIS2 and ISO 27001. Your recommendations directly reduce breach risk and credential exposure across the enterprise.
Your impact spans architecture, policy, vendor relationships, and hands-on implementation oversight.
Your responsibilities
- Design PAM architecture aligned with zero-trust principles and organisational risk appetite
- Implement and optimise CyberArk, SailPoint, or similar platforms for credential vaulting and session management
- Define privileged account lifecycle processes: provisioning, review, deprovisioning, and emergency access
- Conduct privilege audits across Windows, Linux, cloud, and database environments
- Develop PAM policies and runbooks; train security and operations teams on enforcement
- Lead vendor evaluation and manage relationships with PAM platform providers
- Review PAM logs and alerts; investigate privilege escalation anomalies
- Report on PAM metrics and compliance posture to leadership and auditors

Certifications (preferred)
Must-haves
- 8+ years in IAM, PAM, or identity governance roles
- Hands-on experience with at least one enterprise PAM platform (CyberArk, SailPoint, Okta, ForgeRock)
- Deep understanding of privileged account management, session recording, and just-in-time access
- Proficiency in designing RBAC/ABAC models and lifecycle automation
- Strong knowledge of Windows Active Directory, LDAP, and cloud identity services
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with TIBER-EU or other penetration testing frameworks
- Background in zero-trust architecture deployment
- Familiarity with SOAR or SIEM integration with PAM solutions
- Track record mentoring junior architects or PAM teams
