AI Governance Project Manager
About the assignment
A leading organisation in port operations is scaling AI-driven security solutions. You guide multiple partners from exploration through compliant implementation in a complex operational environment.
Your challenge: translate AI Act, GDPR, and other privacy regulations into concrete implementation frameworks. You prepare partners with tailored plans, secure executive and operational commitment, and orchestrate cross-discipline alignment (IT, security, legal, operations) to remove blockers.
Impact: By end-2026, all partners independently deploy AI solutions within compliance and security requirements.
Your responsibilities
- Translate AI Act, GDPR, and privacy regulations into practical, executable implementation frameworks per partner
- Create and maintain risk assessments, DPIAs, and compliance documentation for AI use cases
- Build executive and operational buy-in across partners for required compliance measures
- Coordinate progress tracking and reporting against compliant AI deployment milestones
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment between IT, security, legal, and operations teams
- Identify and resolve blockers that impede compliance timelines
- Ensure partners can independently implement and maintain compliant AI solutions

- Proven project leadership in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Deep expertise in AI Act and GDPR compliance requirements
- Ability to translate regulatory language into executable deliverables
- Demonstrated ownership mindset and results-driven approach
- Experience facilitating alignment across IT, security, legal, and operations functions
Nice-to-haves
- Background in AI risk management or AI governance frameworks
- Experience with DPIA and compliance documentation
- Knowledge of Dutch regulatory environment (NIS2, DORA awareness)
