Lead Enterprise Architect (Security & Infrastructure)
About the assignment
A leading organisation is modernising its enterprise infrastructure and security posture. You lead the architectural vision, translating complex security requirements into scalable, implementable solutions that balance protection, performance, and business agility.
You work across infrastructure, cloud, identity, and compliance domains. Your designs influence vendor selection, technology roadmaps, and multi-million-euro capital investment decisions. You mentor architects, challenge assumptions, and ensure security is embedded—not bolted on.
Your responsibilities
- Design end-to-end enterprise security and infrastructure architectures aligned with business strategy
- Lead architectural reviews of cloud migrations, zero-trust implementations, and identity platform transformations
- Define security standards, reference architectures, and technology stacks across on-premises and cloud environments
- Collaborate with CISO, infrastructure leads, and vendor partners to evaluate and select enterprise solutions
- Mentor junior and medior architects; build and elevate the architectural capability of the security team
- Document architectural decisions, trade-offs, and rationale for stakeholder and compliance review
- Identify and mitigate architectural risks; drive continuous improvement based on threat landscape shifts

Certifications (preferred)
Must-haves
- 12+ years in enterprise IT or security architecture, with proven track record of major implementations
- Deep experience designing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) at scale
- Strong knowledge of identity platforms, network architecture, and security controls
- Excellent stakeholder communication; able to translate technical complexity for C-level audiences
- Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams and vendor management
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with zero-trust architecture or large-scale infrastructure migrations
- Familiarity with TOGAF, architectural governance frameworks, or enterprise architecture tools
- Background in GRC, compliance integration, or security risk assessment
