About the assignment
You own the product roadmap for Identity & Access Management systems that protect critical business assets. You work across security, engineering, and business teams to translate security requirements into scalable, user-centric solutions.
The challenge: balancing security rigour with usability, managing competing priorities from multiple stakeholders, and ensuring IAM architecture evolves with organisational needs and threat landscapes.
Your impact: you define how the organisation authenticates, authorises and governs access—directly influencing security posture and operational efficiency.
Your responsibilities
- Define and prioritise IAM product roadmap based on security requirements, compliance mandates, and business objectives
- Gather requirements from security teams, system owners, and end-users; translate them into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
- Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to evaluate IAM platforms and oversee implementation or migration projects
- Monitor IAM performance metrics, audit logs, and access patterns; identify gaps and opportunities for improvement
- Ensure IAM solutions comply with standards such as ISO 27001, NIST guidelines, and organisational policies
- Champion identity governance practices: JML lifecycle, role-based and attribute-based access control (RBAC/ABAC)
- Communicate roadmap status, risks, and business value to leadership and steering committees
- Stay current with IAM market trends, emerging threats, and next-generation identity platforms

Must-haves
- 5+ years in IAM product ownership, delivery, or architecture roles
- Deep understanding of IAM concepts: authentication, authorisation, identity governance, provisioning
- Proven experience with at least one major IAM platform (SailPoint, CyberArk, Okta, Entra ID, or ForgeRock)
- Track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects in security or technology
- Strong communicator who translates security and technical requirements for business and technical audiences
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with cloud identity (Azure Entra, AWS IAM) or hybrid identity architectures
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR, SOX) and their IAM implications
- Background in access governance, GRC, or identity risk management
