The Challenge
A major Dutch insurer had been searching for a Security Architect for their cloud migration project for three months. The project was delayed, costs were mounting, and the internal recruitment team couldn't find suitable candidates. Requirements: minimum 8 years' experience, Azure expertise, SABSA/TOGAF-certified, and available within two weeks.
Our Approach
Day 1: Intake & Mapping
In-depth intake with the hiring manager and CTO. We mapped not only the technical requirements but also the culture, team and project context. In parallel, we activated our network.
Day 2: Shortlist
Three candidates presented, all available, all technically qualified. Each profile accompanied by a detailed assessment with motivation, availability and salary range.
Day 3: Interviews
Two interviews scheduled and completed. Direct feedback loops with both candidate and client.
Day 4: Reference Checks & Negotiation
References checked, contractual details aligned, offer prepared.
Day 5: Offer Accepted
The candidate accepted the offer. Start two weeks later. The cloud migration project was back on track within a month.
Results
Time-to-fill: 5 working days (vs. 90+ days internally). The candidate stayed 18 months and led the complete cloud migration. ROI for the client: the project was delivered 3 months early, saving an estimated EUR 400,000 in delay costs.
