Business Continuity Management Specialist
About the assignment
A leading organisation in critical infrastructure is scaling its Business Continuity Management programme to enterprise maturity. You'll drive the organisation-wide rollout, ensuring all business-critical processes can withstand disruptions and recover swiftly.
You work with business owners, risk teams and crisis management to build practical, auditable BCM frameworks. Your role bridges strategy and execution: you shape policy, conduct impact analyses, orchestrate tests, and report risk to senior leadership.
This is a 9-month embedded assignment (36 hours/week, hybrid: on-site Arnhem Wednesdays and Fridays). You'll need security screening before starting.
Your responsibilities
- Roll out and professionalise the BCM programme across the organisation, including policies, processes and documentation
- Conduct and update Business Impact Analyses (BIAs), mapping critical processes, dependencies and recovery targets (RTO/RPO)
- Design and execute continuity tests: tabletop exercises, recovery drills and end-to-end chain tests
- Advise business owners on recovery strategies, critical process interdependencies and risk mitigation
- Monitor BCM maturity across business units; report status, gaps and improvement actions to leadership
- Prepare for and support internal/external assessments and audits against ISO 22301, NIS2 and regulatory requirements
- Build awareness through targeted communication and training on business continuity principles and responsibilities
