Business Continuity Manager – IT Service Management
About the assignment
You serve as the subject matter expert in a strategic business continuity programme spanning the entire organisation. Your mission: elevate how divisions plan for, respond to, and recover from disruptions. You work across teams to embed continuity thinking into operations, risk management, and strategic planning.
You're the trusted advisor on continuity maturity, helping business units move from reactive to proactive resilience. You translate complex recovery strategies into actionable plans, measure effectiveness, and coach leaders on their responsibilities.
Your responsibilities
- Lead the design and rollout of business continuity frameworks across all divisions
- Assess current continuity capabilities and create professionalisation roadmaps
- Develop recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs) aligned with business risk
- Conduct business impact analyses (BIAs) and critical function identification with stakeholders
- Build and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery (BC/DR) plans
- Coordinate continuity testing, tabletop exercises, and post-incident reviews
- Report continuity maturity and programme progress to senior leadership
- Establish continuity governance, roles, and accountability frameworks

Must-haves
- 7+ years in business continuity, BC/DR planning, or IT resilience roles
- Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-wide BC/DR programmes
- Strong knowledge of ISO 22301, BIA methodologies, and RTO/RPO frameworks
- Experience with BC/DR tools and ITSM platforms
- Excellent stakeholder management and ability to influence across divisions
- Clear communication skills to translate technical recovery plans for business leaders
Nice-to-haves
- BCI MBCI or DRII CBCP certification
- Background in financial services or regulated industries
- Experience with cloud-based disaster recovery and hybrid resilience architectures
