About the assignment
As Chief Privacy Officer, you own the privacy function end-to-end. You translate complex regulations into operational reality and build a privacy-first culture across all business units.
You face the challenge of balancing innovation with regulatory demands (GDPR, AI Act, ePrivacy). Your impact: reduced compliance risk, faster product launches, and strengthened customer trust through demonstrable privacy leadership.
Your responsibilities
- Define and execute the privacy strategy aligned with business objectives and board expectations
- Ensure GDPR, AI Act, and sector-specific privacy regulation compliance across operations
- Lead the Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) process for new products and services
- Manage Data Subject Rights (DSR) handling and establish privacy incident response procedures
- Build and mentor a privacy team; manage privacy budget and vendor compliance audits
- Report privacy metrics, breaches, and emerging risks to executive leadership and regulators
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and IT Security on data governance frameworks

Must-haves
- 10+ years privacy/data protection experience; minimum 3 years in a CPO or equivalent leadership role
- Deep expertise in GDPR, AI Act, and ePrivacy regulations
- Board-level communication skills and proven stakeholder management across technical and business teams
- Experience with privacy technology platforms (OneTrust, TrustArc, or similar)
- Track record building and scaling privacy functions
Nice-to-haves
- CIPP/E, CIPM, or CDPSE certification
- Experience in highly regulated sectors (banking, healthcare, fintech)
- Hands-on experience with Data Governance and Privacy Engineering practices
