DevOps Engineer IAM
About the assignment
A leading organisation in digital infrastructure is building a modern IAM platform that scales securely across hybrid environments. You bridge DevOps and identity management, automating deployment, monitoring, and incident response for critical identity systems.
You'll face the challenge of ensuring zero-downtime deployments for IAM services while maintaining strict security and compliance standards. Your infrastructure decisions directly impact how thousands of users and systems authenticate safely.
Your responsibilities
- Design and deploy IAM infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible) across multi-cloud environments
- Automate SailPoint, CyberArk, or Okta deployment pipelines with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Monitor IAM system health, performance, and security using Splunk or similar SIEM platforms
- Implement disaster recovery and high-availability strategies for identity platforms
- Collaborate with security teams to embed compliance checks (RBAC, ABAC validation) into deployment workflows
- Troubleshoot authentication and authorisation issues across applications and infrastructure
- Document infrastructure decisions and maintain runbooks for on-call support

Must-haves
- 5+ years DevOps or cloud infrastructure experience
- Hands-on experience with at least one IAM platform (SailPoint, CyberArk, Okta, or Entra ID)
- Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
- Strong Linux/Unix administration skills
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Understanding of identity and access management principles
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with identity governance (JML lifecycle, access reviews)
- Familiarity with SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar)
- Knowledge of PAM (Privileged Access Management) workflows
- CISSP or CISM certification
