About the assignment

The client operates large-scale IT infrastructure requiring robust identity and access management. You'll oversee IAM strategy, from policy design to system implementation, ensuring compliance and operational security across the organisation.

You work with business stakeholders, security teams, and technology partners to solve identity challenges. Your focus is reducing access risk, streamlining user provisioning, and maintaining audit-ready governance frameworks.

This role demands technical depth and strategic thinking—you balance security requirements with business needs in a complex environment.

Your responsibilities

Design and oversee IAM architecture, including identity governance, access control, and lifecycle management
Implement RBAC and ABAC policies aligned with business and compliance requirements
Manage identity platforms (SailPoint, CyberArk, Okta, Entra ID, ForgeRock) and oversee system integration
Lead JML (Joiners, Movers, Leavers) process optimisation and automation
Conduct access reviews, privilege audits, and security assessments to identify and remediate risks
Advise on IAM governance frameworks, ISO 27001 alignment, and compliance reporting
Mentor junior team members and guide vendors on IAM best practices

Must-haves

8+ years IAM or identity governance experience
Hands-on expertise with at least one major IAM platform (SailPoint, CyberArk, Okta, Entra ID, or ForgeRock)
Deep understanding of RBAC, ABAC, and identity lifecycle management
Experience with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR, NIS2)
Strong communication skills; able to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders

Nice-to-haves

Privilege Access Management (PAM) experience with CyberArk or similar
Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and modern identity federation
Track record mentoring junior IAM professionals
