About the assignment
A major organisation needs strategic guidance on information security and privacy. You bridge technology, compliance, and business needs.
You ensure the organisation meets regulatory requirements (ISO 27001, GDPR, NIS2) while building a practical security culture. Your advice influences board-level decisions and operational security programmes.
Your responsibilities
- Advise leadership on information security and privacy strategy, risk management, and compliance roadmaps
- Conduct security and privacy impact assessments for new initiatives and regulatory changes
- Develop and maintain information security and privacy policies aligned with ISO 27001, GDPR, and sector-specific regulations
- Support incident response and breach notification processes from a legal and regulatory perspective
- Monitor regulatory landscape (NIS2, DORA, AI Act) and translate requirements into actionable programmes
- Collaborate with IT, legal, and risk teams to embed security and privacy controls into business processes
- Train stakeholders on security awareness, data handling, and privacy obligations

Must-haves
- 5+ years in information security, privacy, or GRC roles
- Deep knowledge of ISO 27001, GDPR, and NIS2 requirements
- Experience conducting security and privacy assessments
- Strong communication skills: translate technical and legal complexity for business stakeholders
- Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken)
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with GRC platforms (OneTrust, ServiceNow, Archer)
- Background in incident response or breach management
- Certification: CISM, CISSP, or CIPP/E
