About the assignment
A leading organisation is strengthening its privacy function and seeks a Privacy Advisor to embed data protection across the business. You're responsible for translating complex privacy regulations into actionable policies and controls.
You'll partner with business, legal, and technical teams to assess privacy risks, design compliant processes, and build privacy awareness. This role combines strategic advisory with hands-on execution—from privacy impact assessments to vendor risk reviews.
Your responsibilities
- Assess privacy risks across business processes and design mitigation strategies aligned with GDPR, AI Act, and ePrivacy requirements
- Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) and advise on lawful processing bases and consent management
- Develop and maintain privacy policies, procedures, and documentation to demonstrate organizational accountability
- Review vendor contracts and manage third-party privacy risks through due diligence and ongoing oversight
- Partner with technical teams to implement privacy-by-design in systems, applications, and data flows
- Support incident response activities and breach notifications under GDPR Article 33-34
- Build privacy awareness across the organisation through training and communication campaigns
- Monitor regulatory changes and advise leadership on emerging privacy and AI governance obligations

Must-haves
- 5+ years privacy compliance or data protection experience
- Demonstrable expertise in GDPR, ePrivacy, and emerging AI/data regulations
- Strong ability to translate legal requirements into technical and business controls
- Experience conducting privacy assessments, impact assessments, or vendor reviews
- Fluent in English; Dutch a strong advantage
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with privacy platforms (OneTrust, TrustArc, Collibra)
- Background in DPIA, consent management, or privacy-by-design implementation
- CIPP/E or equivalent privacy certification
