About the assignment
A major organisation is modernising its identity and access management infrastructure. You'll work with stakeholders across IT, security, and business units to design scalable IAM solutions that balance security with user experience.
You'll own the full lifecycle: from discovery and requirements gathering through implementation and optimisation. Your goal is to reduce access-related risks, streamline provisioning workflows, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
This role combines technical depth with consulting skills. You'll advise on platform selection, lead proof-of-concepts, and mentor teams through adoption.
Your responsibilities
- Design and architect IAM solutions (SSO, MFA, provisioning, governance) aligned with business and security requirements
- Assess current identity infrastructure and recommend improvements to access controls and lifecycle management
- Lead implementation projects, including platform configuration, integration with applications, and testing
- Develop role-based and attribute-based access control (RBAC/ABAC) strategies tailored to organisational needs
- Create documentation, playbooks, and training materials for IAM processes and tools
- Conduct security reviews of identity systems and recommend remediation for gaps
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to embed IAM best practices
- Support governance workflows: user provisioning, access reviews, and deprovisioning

Must-haves
- 5+ years of IAM consulting or implementation experience
- Deep expertise in at least two major IAM platforms (SailPoint, CyberArk, Okta, Entra ID, or ForgeRock)
- Strong understanding of access control models, provisioning, and identity governance
- Experience designing and implementing JML workflows and access review processes
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical IAM architecture
- Excellent communication skills: you explain complex IAM concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with cloud identity platforms and hybrid IAM scenarios
- Background in security compliance (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR)
- Exposure to API-driven IAM integration and custom identity solutions
- Project management or consulting engagement experience
