About the assignment
You lead privacy and data protection strategy across the organisation. Your role spans regulatory compliance, risk assessment, stakeholder management, and embedding privacy by design into business processes.
You report on privacy maturity to leadership and the board. You identify gaps, recommend solutions, and drive the cultural shift where privacy becomes central to how the organisation operates.
Your responsibilities
- Design and implement privacy policies aligned with GDPR, AI Act, and sector-specific regulations
- Conduct data protection impact assessments (DPIA) for new systems and processing activities
- Manage data subject rights requests and ensure timely, compliant responses
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess organisational impact on compliance posture
- Provide privacy guidance to product, engineering, and business teams during project initiation
- Audit third-party data processors and maintain vendor risk assessments
- Report privacy incidents to supervisory authorities where required
- Develop and deliver privacy awareness training across all levels

Must-haves
- 5+ years privacy or data protection experience in regulated industries
- Deep knowledge of GDPR and ability to interpret regulatory requirements
- Experience conducting DPIAs and managing data subject rights
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven track record embedding privacy into product and business processes
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with privacy platforms (OneTrust, TrustArc, or Collibra)
- Familiarity with AI Act implications and emerging privacy legislation
- Background in GRC or compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2)
