About the assignment
You lead privacy strategy across the organization, translating regulatory requirements into actionable governance. Your role bridges legal compliance, technical implementation, and business operations.
You champion a privacy-first culture, advise leadership on data handling risks, and oversee GDPR/privacy impact assessments. You identify gaps in current practices and drive continuous improvement in how the organization handles personal data.
Your responsibilities
- Develop and maintain privacy policies aligned with GDPR, local regulations, and industry standards
- Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) for new systems, projects, and data processing activities
- Advise business units and technical teams on privacy by design principles and compliance requirements
- Monitor regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments to privacy governance
- Investigate privacy incidents, manage breach notifications, and support incident response
- Report privacy metrics and compliance status to leadership and relevant supervisory authorities
- Coordinate with third-party processors and conduct vendor privacy assessments
- Drive privacy awareness training and embed privacy culture across all organizational levels

Must-haves
- Deep knowledge of GDPR and privacy regulations in your jurisdiction
- Experience conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments and privacy risk analysis
- Proven ability to translate legal requirements into technical and organizational controls
- Strong communication skills for multiple audiences: executives, technical teams, legal
- 5+ years in privacy, data protection, compliance, or related governance roles
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with privacy management platforms (OneTrust, TrustArc, Collibra)
- Familiarity with emerging regulations (AI Act, NIS2, DORA)
- Background in ISO 27001 or information security governance
- CIPP/E certification or active progress toward privacy credentials
