About the assignment
You are responsible for embedding privacy into the organisation's DNA. You assess data flows, manage consent mechanisms, and advise leadership on regulatory risk.
You work across product development, marketing, and operations to embed privacy-by-design principles. You handle data subject requests, conduct impact assessments, and stay ahead of evolving EU regulation.
Your role bridges compliance and business strategy—you translate complex regulations into actionable guidance that teams actually follow.
Your responsibilities
- Develop and maintain privacy policies, procedures, and data protection impact assessments (DPIA)
- Monitor GDPR, AI Act, NIS2, and sector-specific compliance; advise leadership on regulatory changes
- Review data processing activities, consent mechanisms, and third-party processor agreements
- Respond to data subject access requests and manage breach notifications within legal timelines
- Conduct privacy training sessions and build privacy awareness across departments
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate privacy controls early in development
- Maintain records of processing activities and evidence of compliance for audits and regulators

Must-haves
- 3+ years in privacy, data protection, or compliance roles
- Deep knowledge of GDPR and EU privacy law
- Experience with DPIA, consent frameworks, and data subject rights management
- Ability to translate regulation into practical business guidance
- Excellent stakeholder communication and documentation skills
Nice-to-haves
- Hands-on experience with OneTrust, Collibra, or similar privacy platforms
- Familiarity with AI Act, NIS2, or DORA requirements
- CIPP/E or CIPM certification
