About the assignment
You protect the organisation's data assets and reputation by owning privacy-by-design principles. You translate complex regulations into actionable governance frameworks that teams understand and follow.
You're the bridge between legal, operations, and technology. You conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments, manage consent workflows, respond to data subject requests, and advise leadership on privacy risks in new projects and vendor relationships.
Your responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data protection policies aligned with GDPR, AI Act, and ePrivacy Directive
- Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) for high-risk processing activities
- Manage data subject access requests and ensure timely, compliant responses
- Build and execute privacy awareness programmes for employees and stakeholders
- Audit data processing inventories and ensure accurate Records of Processing Activities (ROPA)
- Advise product, HR, and sales teams on privacy implications during design phases
- Liaise with supervisory authorities and handle breach notifications under legal timelines
- Monitor vendor compliance and maintain Data Processing Agreements (DPAs)

Must-haves
- 5+ years privacy, data protection, or GRC compliance experience
- Deep knowledge of GDPR and ePrivacy regulations in practice
- Experience conducting DPIAs and managing Records of Processing Activities
- Strong stakeholder communication: you explain privacy to non-technical teams
- Fluent Dutch and English (written and spoken)
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with OneTrust, TrustArc, or similar privacy platforms
- CIPP/E or CIPM certification
- Background in AI governance and AI Act compliance
- Vendor management and Data Processing Agreement negotiation
