Privacy Officer (DPO)
About the assignment
You join a leading organisation navigating complex privacy regulations. Your mandate: build a proactive privacy program that embeds data protection into business operations, not just IT systems.
You'll translate regulatory requirements (GDPR, NIS2, AI Act, ePrivacy) into actionable policies. You'll advise executives on privacy risks, manage data subject requests, and design consent frameworks. You own the relationship between privacy, security, and business innovation.
Your responsibilities
- Develop and maintain privacy policies, Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and Records of Processing Activities (ROPA)
- Advise business units on GDPR compliance, consent mechanisms, and third-party data processor contracts
- Investigate and respond to data breaches and subject access requests within legal deadlines
- Monitor emerging regulations (AI Act, NIS2, DORA, BIO 2.0) and implement necessary controls
- Lead privacy training programs and foster data protection awareness across the organisation
- Collaborate with legal, security, and IT teams to embed privacy-by-design into product and system development
- Prepare compliance reports and present privacy metrics to board-level governance
