Senior Privacy Lawyer & Legal Technologist
About the assignment
A leading organisation across multiple sectors needs a Senior Privacy Lawyer to bridge legal compliance and technology implementation. You'll own data protection strategy, manage regulatory relationships, and drive adoption of privacy-by-design principles across the business.
You'll handle complex cross-border data flows, AI governance, and vendor risk assessments. This role requires someone who speaks both legal language and tech language—someone who understands what OneTrust and Collibra can do, and when to push back on implementation.
Your impact: reducing legal exposure, accelerating product launches through privacy clarity, and positioning the organisation as a trusted data steward.
Your responsibilities
- Design and enforce data protection policies aligned with GDPR, AI Act, ePrivacy, and sector-specific regulations
- Manage privacy tech stack (OneTrust, Collibra, TrustArc) and drive proper configuration and governance
- Conduct data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and privacy-by-design reviews for new products and systems
- Lead vendor risk assessments and third-party data processing agreements with legal and technical controls
- Partner with product, engineering, and compliance teams on AI governance and algorithmic transparency
- Report to executive leadership and boards on privacy maturity, emerging risks, and regulatory developments
- Manage external relationships with DPAs, regulators, and legal counsel on complex privacy matters
- Build and mentor a privacy team on legal standards and technology implementation
