Enterprise Security Architect
About the assignment
You join a major organisation navigating complex digital transformation while strengthening security posture across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments. The challenge: architect a scalable, resilient security infrastructure that balances innovation with compliance, supports business growth, and meets regulatory demands.
Your impact extends beyond technical implementation. You'll shape security strategy at the executive level, influence vendor decisions, and build frameworks that enable the organisation to operate securely at scale. You work at the intersection of architecture, governance, and business enablement.
Your responsibilities
- Design enterprise security architecture including identity, access, network segmentation, and zero-trust principles
- Develop cloud security strategies aligned with AWS, Azure, or GCP adoption roadmaps
- Lead security governance frameworks covering IAM, PAM, threat detection, and incident response
- Define technical security standards, reference architectures, and implementation roadmaps
- Evaluate and recommend security platforms (SIEM, XDR, CASB, WAF) based on business requirements
- Collaborate with CISO and executive stakeholders on security roadmaps and risk mitigation
- Conduct security assessments and design remediation strategies for identified gaps
- Mentor security engineers and establish architectural best practices across teams

Certifications (preferred)
Must-haves
- 8+ years in cybersecurity with 5+ in enterprise architecture or security leadership
- Proven experience designing zero-trust, cloud-native, or hybrid security architectures
- Deep knowledge of identity & access management (IAM), network security, and threat detection
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, or industry-specific standards)
- Track record communicating security strategy to executive and board-level stakeholders
- Hands-on experience with modern security platforms (SIEM, XDR, cloud-native tools)
Nice-to-haves
- CISSP or CISM certification
- Experience leading vendor selection and RFP processes for enterprise security solutions
- Background in financial services, government, or regulated industries
- Familiarity with AI/ML in security and emerging threat landscapes
