Program Manager Security & Data Platform
About the assignment
A leading organisation is building a unified security and data platform to strengthen governance, reduce risk, and accelerate data accessibility. You manage this multi-year program spanning infrastructure, compliance, identity, and analytics teams.
You translate business objectives into technical roadmaps. You identify dependencies, manage scope creep, and keep delivery on track. You report progress to C-level stakeholders and boards.
Your impact: secure the organisation's data landscape, embed compliance early in development cycles, and establish repeatable governance patterns across the enterprise.
Your responsibilities
- Define program vision, strategy, and success metrics aligned with security and business goals
- Manage stakeholder alignment across security, infrastructure, data, legal, and business teams
- Build and maintain project roadmaps, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans
- Track dependencies, risks, and blockers; escalate issues and drive resolution
- Report program status, burn-down, and KPIs to executive steering committees and boards
- Establish governance frameworks and decision-making processes for platform changes
- Coordinate compliance validation (ISO 27001, NIS2, sector-specific standards) throughout delivery
- Lead post-implementation reviews and capture lessons learned for future initiatives

Must-haves
- 10+ years program or portfolio management in enterprise environments
- Proven track record delivering large-scale security or infrastructure programs
- Deep understanding of security governance, compliance frameworks, and risk management
- Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and complex dependencies
Nice-to-haves
- Background in cloud security or platform architecture programs
- Exposure to GRC tools (ServiceNow, Archer) or security program offices
- Experience with data governance or enterprise data platforms
- Formal program management certification (PgMP, PgM, PRINCE2, SAFe)
