SOC Analyst (IT/OT Security)
About the assignment
You join the Security Operations Center of a major organisation in the energy sector, embedded within the Networks & Security department. The SOC is capability-driven and continuously evolving across monitoring, incident response, threat intelligence, threat hunting, vulnerability management, and automation.
You're not a passive observer—you actively shape SOC maturity. You'll handle real incidents in complex IT and OT environments, contribute to process improvement, and mentor the organisation on operational cybersecurity. The team values both depth and breadth.
Your responsibilities
- Monitor IT and OT environments continuously using SIEM and detection platforms
- Triage, analyse and resolve security alerts and incidents with precision
- Conduct root-cause analyses and support forensic investigations
- Document incidents, findings and lessons learned in structured formats
- Contribute to one or more SOC domains: Monitoring & Detection, Incident Response, Cyber Threat Intelligence, Threat Hunting, Vulnerability Management or Automation & Orchestration
- Improve detection rules, monitoring capabilities and process documentation
- Act as trusted advisor to the organisation on operational cybersecurity matters

Must-haves
- Proven SOC experience in a professional environment
- Hands-on expertise with SIEM tools and monitoring platforms
- Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISF, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to undergo mandatory security screening (AIVB-B level)
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with both IT and OT security environments
- Threat hunting or cyber threat intelligence background
- Relevant certifications (Security+, CEH, GIAC)

- €5,415–€7,366 gross monthly (scale 65, based on experience)
