Trainee CIAM DevOps Engineer
About the assignment
The client operates complex identity and access management systems that protect thousands of users and applications. As a trainee, you'll work within the DevOps team to automate CIAM infrastructure, improve deployment pipelines, and ensure secure, scalable identity platforms.
You'll gain hands-on experience with identity governance tools, cloud environments, and infrastructure-as-code practices. Your focus is learning while delivering real value: supporting platform reliability, reducing manual overhead, and strengthening security posture through automation.
Your responsibilities
- Deploy and maintain CIAM platforms using infrastructure-as-code tools
- Automate identity provisioning workflows and improve deployment pipelines
- Monitor CIAM infrastructure health and troubleshoot operational issues
- Collaborate with security and identity teams to implement best practices
- Document processes, runbooks, and architectural decisions
- Participate in on-call rotations to support production systems
- Learn cloud security principles while managing identity services

Must-haves
- Foundation in DevOps, cloud platforms, or systems administration
- Understanding of identity and access management concepts
- Experience with scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Familiarity with Linux and containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong communication and willingness to learn from mentors
Nice-to-haves
- Hands-on experience with Terraform or other IaC tools
- Previous exposure to CIAM platforms (SailPoint, Okta, Entra ID)
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows
- Security clearance or ability to obtain clearance
