Data Security & DLP Coordinator
About the assignment
A regional safety organisation across 26 municipalities is strengthening its data security posture through an organisation-wide programme. You build the structural foundation for data classification, protection, and loss prevention—work that will transition into a permanent CISO-team role.
Your focus: 70% data security, 30% compliance and auditability. You design executable frameworks, embed them into Microsoft Purview and DLP tooling, and document procedures so the CISO team can sustainably govern data handling across the region.
Your responsibilities
- Design and implement data classification and labeling standards, translating policy into technical controls and operational workflows
- Configure, manage, and optimise Microsoft Purview Information Protection, DLP rules, and Cloud App Security (CASB) solutions independently
- Develop at least three production DLP use cases with full documentation: business rationale, classification logic, rules, monitoring, and escalation processes
- Create auditable procedures and role-based responsibilities for data security and DLP that enable CISO oversight and governance
- Collaborate with the CISO team as a technical sparring partner, advising on data protection strategy and implementation trade-offs
- Establish monitoring and compliance workflows so data protection practices can be measured, reported, and continuously improved
