Identity & Access Management Consultant
About the assignment
A major organisation is strengthening its identity and access management capability. You act as a trusted advisor on IAM architecture, policy design, and implementation, bridging business needs with security requirements.
You'll guide the organisation through access governance challenges: role-based and attribute-based access control (RBAC/ABAC), JML workflows, and compliance automation. Your recommendations shape how identity is managed across hybrid and cloud environments.
You impact security posture directly—reducing access risk, accelerating identity provisioning, and enabling secure digital transformation.
Your responsibilities
- Assess current IAM infrastructure and recommend improvements aligned with business strategy
- Design role models and access governance policies for on-premise and cloud environments
- Lead workshops with stakeholders to define identity requirements and access rules
- Support platform selection and implementation of IAM solutions (SailPoint, CyberArk, Okta, Entra ID)
- Develop JML (Joiners, Movers, Leavers) processes and automate identity lifecycle workflows
- Create IAM documentation, runbooks, and governance frameworks
- Monitor access trends, identity risks, and compliance with regulatory requirements

Must-haves
- 7+ years in IAM, identity governance, or access management roles
- Deep knowledge of identity platforms, directory services, and SSO
- Experience designing RBAC/ABAC models and JML workflows
- Strong understanding of IAM compliance (ISO 27001, GDPR, SOX)
- Excellent consulting and stakeholder management skills
Nice-to-haves
- Hands-on experience with SailPoint, CyberArk, or Okta implementations
- Background in cloud IAM (Azure AD/Entra ID, AWS IAM)
- Knowledge of privileged access management (PAM)
- CISSP or CISM certification
