Senior IAM Consultant – Identity Governance & Administration
About the assignment
You join a leading organisation in Rotterdam where identity governance is critical to security and operational efficiency. Your role bridges business requirements with technical implementation, translating access control needs into robust governance frameworks.
You partner with business stakeholders, HR teams, security leadership and IT architects to shape how identities are managed across the organisation. Your designs directly impact user experience, security posture and regulatory compliance.
Your responsibilities
- Design identity governance models and access control strategies aligned with business objectives
- Translate functional requirements into technical solutions using role-based (RBAC) and attribute-based (ABAC) access control
- Define and document identity and access management policies, procedures and governance standards
- Lead identity lifecycle management (JML) process reviews and optimisations
- Advise on IAM platform selection, implementation and integration (SailPoint, CyberArk, Okta, Entra ID)
- Conduct access reviews, entitlement audits and compliance assessments
- Mentor junior consultants and build internal IAM capability

Must-haves
- 8+ years IAM consulting or implementation experience
- Proven expertise in identity governance, access control design and lifecycle management
- Hands-on experience with at least one major IAM platform (SailPoint, CyberArk, Okta, Entra ID)
- Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture
- Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus
Nice-to-haves
- CISSP or CISM certification
- Experience with TIBER-EU or other framework implementations
- Track record mentoring junior consultants
