OT Security Specialist
About the assignment
A leading organisation in the energy sector protects vital infrastructure that powers the country. You safeguard the operational technology (OT) environment controlling and monitoring the electricity network—from high-voltage stations to telecom networks and supporting IT systems.
Your challenge: assess configuration security, harden systems, operationalise controls, evaluate OT maturity and resilience, conduct security investigations, and guide penetration tests. You identify subtle signals others miss and drive proactive security improvements through the entire system lifecycle.
You work in a 12-person team within OT Infrastructure, partnering with second-line colleagues from the CISO Office, continuity teams, and corporate affairs to strengthen the organisation's security posture.
Your responsibilities
- Lead cybersecurity risk analysis and implement controls across OT assets, applications, platforms, networks and supporting IT systems
- Oversee security processes and investigations within the OT domain that controls the electricity network
- Assess system configurations and log files, conduct hardening activities, and evaluate security maturity and resilience
- Design and operationalise security control measures with security-by-design principles embedded in lifecycle evolution plans
- Manage security issues, drive necessary initiatives, and ensure security outcomes are embedded across the organisation
- Guide and support penetration testing activities within the OT environment
- Prepare detailed security reports and recommendations for stakeholder review
